No starvation?

Post by Megami »

First let me congratulate you on this amazing game. It is really hard to put down (playing on hard + oldschool).

Now my remarks.

At one point I was stuck at the level 4 time & tide puzzle to the point when I ran out of food and my convicts started starving. But when the food bar hit zero nothing was happening. Taking some 1hp damage every now and then from starving would really please us hardcore gamers I think. Have you considered implementing HC mode in your following updates? Such minor change wouldn't be that much work and make the whole dungeon adventure much more immersive.

Also I don't know whether it's a bug or a feature but when my frontline characters are dead I can't reach the enemy with melee attacks from my backline without swapping the characters first but the enemy can still attack my backline with no problems.

Guys in the back can't hit with melee weapons, only in the front. (Unless they have the Reach skill, or a spear weapon).

And yeah, I agree starvation should have some more penalties.

Shouldn't they be able to hit when there is noone in the frontline (so they would sort of step forward over the bodies of their fallen comrades in real life scenario)? I mean monsters with normal reach can still hit your backline when your frontline is dead. It doesn't make any sense like this. Of course when there is at least 1 guy in the frontline the other 2 can hide behind him.

If you frontline guys die, quickly switch them to the back row so they can start hitting instead.

Doesn't Energy and Health fail to regenerate when you are starving?

It does. Resting does nothing when starving.
