Ode to the Rock

Post by eternal »

I just wanted to be one of the first to post in this section.

There once was a game called Grimrock
Whose purchase was surely a deadlock
As release day drew nigh
I wanted to die
But instead I just waited.

Anti climactic I know but a poet I am not.

May I suggest re-wording the first line to:

There was once a game they called Grimrock.

How about this
There once was a game called Grimrock
Whose purchase was surely a deadlock
As release day drew nigh
I wanted to die
But instead I just sat down and waited.
Last line lol.

Yeah that first line was supposed to say game. I missed the spelling error. I have been up for over 24 hours.
The last line was on purpose. Was it really that much of a failure? I thought it was funny. You always see people in the gaming world who go on about how they just can't wait for x game and all the crazy things they will do if they don't get it NOW so I thought it was a nice touch.

It wasn't the theme that was bad, the abrupt ending was ... off-putting.
Nice poem, though!
