Now I can think about a new group. If I had a second full magician, maybe I'd survived. And I must create much more antidotes. And more ice bombs.

Nah, when done right you can win this fight with a solo character on Hard Ironman. You just need a different tactic, that's all.

Reading through your comments reminds me of the discussions regarding true Tanking. The fact is that as it stands now, tanking just really isn't very feasible. Regardless of your Protection/Evade level, you are better off with ranged and square-dancing. Granted, people can argue that high protection with evade makes for real tanking possibilities, but I have done this multiple times and all that really happens is you "survive a battle." No matter what you do defensively, it never truly feels like Tanking. Especially if you've played other RPG's that support true tanking.

In my opinion, the only thing that high protection/evade accomplishes in LoG2 is allowing you to take more hits as you "set up" better attack strategies; such as taking a few hits before you get in to a safe location to square dance.

Magic and Alchemy are awesome though (except Earth magic, it still is quite gimp).

That's what I thought : Magic is powerful. So my new party'll have 2 magicians.

But why is everyone thinking earth magic is bad? I love "Poison Bolt". Has an unlimited range. (Killed nearly all frogs across the river). Few enemies with poison resistance, even within Desarune it helped killing the ice guys and crabs.

I think about : Rogue, Battlemage, Alchemist and Wizard . (Maybe all Human or Lizardman). No tanks. After I got this far in the game it makes no longer sense to me. Kill quick, move fast, make no mistakes. That's the key IMO.
