Minor BUG with Fire Elementals
Just noted this one while playing thru the game with a single missile user rogue.
Fire Elementals got a rather low amount of hit points yet it can require more than a single missile or throwing weapon hit to down them. Now in case the Fire Elemental takes hit(s) by ranged weapons but still manages to crash into the party the ammo stuck inside the monster is NOT dropped or re-spawned anywhere. That ammo is simply and permanently gone.

Rocks don't stick to targets on impact so this bug can't affect them in the first place.Isaac wrote: *But what if the missiles were rocks?

People make stone ovens; cook on stone slabs.

It was an afterthought comment.
Still... items shouldn't disappear like that; although arrows are pretty commonplace; and it is plausible that they would burn up in the elemental.... It doesn't really make sense that they would stick to any part of a nearly ethereal monster.

Arrows could pass through the elemental and then when you pick them up they're fire enchanted.

Yeah, the cold, fire & shock arrows (no poison, easy to make though) are all available in the editor and they now have fx, wonder why they didn't make it to the main game?

My guess is that it's because "like a regular arrow, but it does more damage" isn't really an interesting design. And shock arrows *are* in the main game...
