Herbs and potions

Hey...just looking for tips on how to "brew" or transform the nerbs we find in potions.

When you mouse over an herb it says "SHIFT+LMB/RMB to interact" (spelling?)...what is that?
Do we need something other than herbs to brew something and how to brew?!?!!?

You will later find equipment to make potions. That Shift-thing is that you can split stacked items.
