Oh there is some steep competition for this one... but I've not seen anything public about it yet; so that's all I'll say of it.

Lands of Lore is quite probably the best Dungeon Crawler I've yet played... with EoB2 being just a hair's breadth behind in second place. Making the mod of that will be quite an undertaking.... not to mention that it's a currently marketed product (so it shouldn't be an exact a clone ~I'd think). :o

Certainly something I'd play if it turns up from anyone.

I played Legend Of Grimrock 2, and I must say... this is so close to perfection.. I feel so good, almost as good as I was playing Lands of lore 21 years ago. So definitely, imagine, what it would be to use Legend Of Grimrock 2 engine to recreate Lands. And why just Lands, a lot of other oldschool RPGs must be recreated as well :)

I think this LoG2 is so close as a nature to Lands, that it should be just a matter of adding new objects, and textures to the game world. And of course remove what's not used from the source. And I don't speak Modding, I speak about using the source codes for LoG2 to recreate Lands Of Lore.. Shoudn't take more than an year to beta, if the Almost Human is doing it.

There is enough walkthroughts, images of the maps, and every possible objects for lands as a resource in the internet:
Just a few examples:

http://www.ethereallore.envy.nu/1stats.html
http://www.mocagh.org/miscgame/lol-manual.pdf
http://tcrf.net/Lands_of_Lore:_The_Throne_of_Chaos
http://www.thecomputershow.com/computer ... k.htm#Maps

So, the game is clear in anyway, it's just that someone has to do it. The problem is, there are some differences in game mechanics. Small, but.. still,
I don't think they can be overridden with modding.

I think it should be a matter of time the developers of LoG to decide to remake some classic. :) After all, this is where they get inspiration from :)

It has different colors for armor and the hair. The remake should be as close as possible to the original. Other than that, it looks cool :)

Great job with Gladstone Keep. Where we can download it? I am interested in collaborating. Maybe I can start with Northland forest? If we divide the work we can make full LoL between several people :)

I believe that you only need but a single water object... not one per water tile.

Nice work. 8-)

*Should come with a custom spell effect to cause a frozen bog-ice-bridge where they were needed in that map. [Closes the pit]

Still anyone for this insane LoL1 remake project ahah ?

25 years later... it is still the greatest crawler ever in my opinion.
