Some Questions

Post by tschordi »

Hi there,
I am stuck at Xarant Wormbound. No chance I can beat him. Hi summons tons of Zombies and gone I am.
Mostly my problem lies in dealing damge. I quite never hit for more than 10 to 20 damge. Firearms is completely useless, my best shot was around 20 dmg. My heavy weapon misses 80% of the time. And here it is, this Xarant... just chopping me to pieces. Any ideas?

Easiest method: throw lightning bombs as soon as the fight starts; he's weak to shock damage so it takes around 7 bombs. The fight will be over in less than 3 seconds.
Second easiest method: cast invisibility, nothing in that boss fight can see invisible so you'll never get hit.

Not more then 20 damage per hit? 80% miss rate?
Sounds like you're a bit low level for this area and your heavy weapon user(s) lack accuracy.

made the kamikaze way. Stormin' in, casting shock (don't have lightning bolt) hackin.... prayin... shootin... and, survived.
Well, i have crazy high miss rates with the flail weapon. I switched to the mace... was a lot better.
So, you say, one has to skill accuracy for heavy weapon users? Probably this'll help for firearms too....

I use a particular strategy on that fight where I immediately go left in the room which looks like it was made for strafing.
Stay out of line of sight and wait for him to roam to you. Unload everything you have on him.
this fight as I remember it like many of the boss battles takes a lot of quick damage.
Use bombs and any other high damage item in your inventory and have potions ready.
If the zombies get too close run to the other side out of sight.
Always watch and listen to see if they will soon box you in that first room. There is also a full heal crystal in that room if I remember correctly.

Accuracy is indeed important for weapons. Use your special attacks too once he gets to you.
