Solved: Possible bug but on original release

I'm still playing original release version and something weird happened.

On rooftop encounter when some frogs were spawned they stole my orb and sword, not entirely sure which made it happen but either winning the fight or the frog getting stomped by the big guy, when the fight was finished my orb and sword were nowhere to be found. I had my bow stolen in same encounter but killed that frog myself and got it back.
Didn't know if this has happened to anyone else or if it's intentional or if it's still a bug in the latest patch.

Just thought I would post it as I am not going to try and recreate it, would lose my mind going through that again!

I can give a copy of my save if need be

Nevermind in all the confusion I made rookie mistake and switched hands without knowing, slaps forehead very hard, would have been nice to have my battlemage do battle!!! Oh well
