Indeed amigo is Spanish for (masculine) friend; amiga = (feminine) friend.

Wow. Just wow. It's like a copy/paste from the comment section of an adolescent youtube channel. "I H8 3v3rything! YOLO !" Maybe it's the spell check on his Comrade 64.
