Level 4 and 5 help

So I'm stuck on 2 puzzles.

1:How do I get to the book on level 4 in the trial with all the pitfalls?

2:How do I open the door on level 5 with the note that says the guy put the lever in an upright position?

For the book,

it's the same as when you stood on that plate which makes a portal appear after a few seconds so you can throw something through, but instead drop something on the plate then when the portal appears just walk into it.

as for the door I'm stuck on that one as well

It was a while ago but I think you have to push the button next to the closed door ones, push the other button twice then move the lever to upright position

to open the door on level 5, push the buttons a bit, wangle the lever a lot so it stay upright, then push teh buttons again. muck around a bit it'll open
