First: Great game! Didn't have so much fun with a game for a long time and was sucked into Grimrock from second one.
What I am missing though is a little random loot, some reward from the monsters I kill like a piece of armor or a weapon from time to time. And a few respawning monsters would be nice, a wandering monster here and there that returns into the dungeon. A little randomness...
Don't know if this happens later in the game as I am only at level 2 right now. I like a little grinding and also missed that aspect in the old school games like DM. I know that others hate respawning monsters, so it's just my 2 cents.
Thank you for a superb experience and keep them monsters coming.

Re: I miss random loot and respawning monsters
I am fairly certain that there are spawn points in the game. I was attacked by a spider in a room that I am 99% sure I had cleared completely. I don't know if these spawn points are rare all the time or become more common later on in the game.
I have to say that I don't like respawning in single player games. It makes sense in MMORPGs, but in single player games it tends to be annoying for the sake of being annoying. But to each his own

I played till level 7 now and only found one room where there really was a monster spawner (The only reason for this though was that you needed monsters to solve a puzzle)
@ChrisColon What you are talking about is the (my creation) : "little pesky developer's secret spider ambush trap"
(What I mean by this, that were no actual monster Spawners but Spiders hidden behind a wall and when you walk past them the wall would open at some point and you would have Spiders falling in your back.. but If I would go deeper here things would get slimey )
