Well, dying is a place I don't want to go. And there's plenty of pain there, but thus far, not been any real gain!

Found the button for the bottom door all the way in the lower right... but the caged room above eludes me still.

I think the button is in the spike area in the previous room.

actually it only 1 or 2 steps from ladder so it's safe with correct timing.
