Menu looks blurry/ Graphics are not as sharp

Post by iliekmudkips »

So I just installed the game and the menus are so blurry you cant even see what the icons are! Did I set something up wrong or something?

Look:

Try resetting your graphics card settings to default.

Are you running your monitor on native resolution?

How do I do that?

I'm on my laptop, but I connect it to my monitor which is at 1900 x 1028 i think, but this screenshot was taken before I connected it to my monitor (1366x 700 something)

EDIT: Okay, got into my Catalyst control panel and set everything to default, gonna try it now

I am having the same problem. As for 'resetting to default' I'm not sure what you mean, when you load the game it autodetects the native res and auto configs the settings. I am having this problem from my first load up of the game (about 15mins ago).

Running off a laptop connected via DVI to a 1920x1080 monitor, running in ANY res on that monitor the text in the buttons (which I assume is an image) is blurry and unreadable, along with the inventory icons, etal. All other text, that is just plain old text, is perfectly fine. I've tried to ignore this, but it sticks out like dogs balls and really detracts from the gameplay.

I am running on an hp pro book with an HD6400M series display adaptor with driver version 8.930.0.0

Anyone else got any solutions?

I don't see how that is going to help, but let me know. I haven't changed anything in my CCC, hell I don't even have CCC installed now I think of it.

I read in another post someone was trying to force AA using the video driver settings and it made the menu all blurry. Check if your overriding the game preferences and doing AA in the driver. Hope it helps.

Thanks mate, turns out I got CCC in my last driver install ^_^ but I haven't tweaked anything in there. Just went in to check the 3D Application settings for Gameing and AA is set to Use application settings, so no dice there, but thanks for the helpful input :)

Blurry textures are almost always Mipmap Detail Level in the CCC. Put it to Quality, disable Catalyst AI too, and everything else to App Controlled/off.
