BTW, anybody know of any good and cheap screen capturing software? I just grabbed ezvid quickly, but I'm thinking there is something better.

How do you open the chest on the beach? the one with the three buttons to push? Its driving me insane...

@ lurker: You´re doing right. Have you tried to leave the sewers and come back after some seconds. Maybe this riddle must "self-restart".

@ neptuneco: Everytime you press a button you must hear a "klick". No "klick" = wrong button. Or did you mean the chest itself? Use a lockpick.

The chest is gated, i mean the click or no click, cant figure out the pattern to let the gate down.

You press a button if you hear no "click" then its the wrong one. If it "clicks" then press it again or another one. If there is no "click" to hear then the sequence is wrong. Every time you press a button you must hear a "click".

Did you get the note that tells you the order? Maybe the puzzle doesn't activate until you get it. Although I haven't heard of that behavior with other puzzles in the game, and that sort of thing just tends to annoy people. I'm guessing it's a bug.

You don't need to walk all over them, I assumed it might be timed so I just went up each ladder and straight back in the water.

Update on all of my troubles. I started a thread in the Bug area and somebody found my solution for me. If you are having problems with this puzzle, it is possible you are doing it correct, but a bug is preventing you from getting into the secret room. If this happens:

Start at the center square and then do the sequence. So Center > SE > SW > NE > NW > Center

Hopefully this will save somebody the pain I went through to get this secret.
