I'm sure in the coming months AFTER the dev's release a little (a lot actually ~laughs~) information about assests and scripting methods it won't matter. Though, a master list of helpful stuff like this should evolve and it may get mentioned in there.

Really, right now I'm literally 1) guessing the structure of objects until I do not get errors, then 2) guessing method calls until I don't get errors, then 3) guessing the method parameters until it's satisfied. =)

cromcrom wrote:Hello there. Any ETA of the assets download and Introduction to Scripting (with list of Scripting references ) ? Just, erm, you know, I am on holydays next week, and I will have plenty of time to code (that is, if I don't go hiking. Anyways...).
It could be very nice if anyone from AH could answer this question, even if it's just with a "next week" or a "next month" (I hope not this one !). Just to know if I start modding right now like a blind person or if I should wait for the documentation to be release...

@Nutjob, ok, I get it, you probably don't know what ETA means. It means Estimated Time Arrival, I opened this thread as a question to the devs, hoping to get an answer, that will either have me start guessing blindly stuff, and waste an incredible amount of time, or wait a little more, and use the help AH will provide. So please stick to this thread, and take your door closing speed guesses and other Scripting questions to more explicit threads, please.
I fully agree with Jhaelen, this is why I opened this thread, actually ^^

We've been occupied with patching the game (among a hundred other launch-related things) since the game's release but with the first patch out of the way, it seems like now we can little by little start concentrating more on the editor and scripting documentation. Can't give you an ETA yet though.

Don't get too used to it! They'll update fast any time me or Petri is happening to work on the page but unfortunately we're still multitasking with a lot of other responsibilities too ;)
