Alchemist herb growth rate
Re: Alchemist herb growth rate
Farmer will never be God. He is subpar at begining and stay that way throughout the game.
Beginning: 30 HP, 30 energy, no skills (subpar to everyone else)
End: Human Farmer LVL 18 (maybe if you gring hard lvl 19, but other humans will be lvl 16 if you grind much)
human alchemist LVL 15.
Difference in:
Skills : +1 for farmer (hurra!)
HP: -13 (+equip, tomes and stuff) little bit more HP then usual Wiz (hurra!) but much less HP than everyone else.
Energy: +13 (hurra!) (+equip, tomes and stuff) on par to Battle Mages, little bit more than alchemist, much more than fighter classes (hurra!) but much less than wizard
Summary: You get one skillpoint more for a lot of trouble early on. (HP and energy differnces endgame dont matter too much).

Sounds about right !
Re: Alchemist herb growth rate
Should just have 1 Alchemist and 1 Farmer. Give the Farmer the +25% exp necklace, and the Alchemist the Iron Necklace so he no longer goes hungry. Then you can feed everything to the farmer.sapientCrow wrote:think my next playthrough will be 1 farmer and 2 alchemists. I will turn the Farmer into a God.

Also this will let you put the alchemist in front or behind your farmer letting you focus one in magic/range and the other in melee.Jirodyne wrote:Should just have 1 Alchemist and 1 Farmer. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I believe that is incorrect.End: Human Farmer LVL 18 (maybe if you gring hard lvl 19, but other humans will be lvl 16 if you grind much)
human alchemist LVL 15.

Human skilled fast learner. All skill tomes, health tomes and resist tomes. Alchemists feeding him/her all stat potions.
3 skill tomes IRC. Skilled trait cancels out one lost skill point. 3 to 4 extra levels compared to regular party level. That is looking like close to 8 or 10 extra skill points. Am I missing something? Farmer does get the same 2 skill points past first level correct?

Skillpoints per Lvl after lvl 1 is 1.sapientCrow wrote:I believe that is incorrect.End: Human Farmer LVL 18 (maybe if you gring hard lvl 19, but other humans will be lvl 16 if you grind much)

What role should your farmer fill ?
Lets say he should be a frontline tank/damage dealer type.
I pick Fighter. You Pick Farmer. Take Human for race and fast learner and skilled for traits. I feed my Fighter all potions and tomes.
What exactly do you think can your farmer do better than my fighter ?
At endgame yor Farmer will be (most likely) Lvl 18.
My Fighter will be Lvl 15.
You got 18 skillpoints (17 from lvl + 1 skilled trait) + tomes
I got 17 Skillpoints (2 start + 14 from lvl + 1 skilled trait) +tomes
You got 30+17*5=115 BaseHP +tomes and equip.
I got 60+14*7=158 BaseHP + tomes and equip.
You got 30+17*5=115 BaseEnergy +tomes and equip.
I got 30+14*3=72 BaseEnergy +tomes and equip.
All other stats are identical.
So You got 1 Skillpoint and 43 more Energy for 43 less HP (i got Fighter specialtrait on top of that).
Baseline is, you cant do fancy stuff with your farmer, which i cant do better with some other class under the same circumstances.
And to believe something and having it actually tested, are two things.

I dont get what you are talking about.sapientCrow wrote:Well with 1 skill point on him that indeed is pointless. It was all reliant on the normal skill gains. Did not know they got penalized every level.
If he got the regular 2 skill points which is what I imagined he did.
Regular skillpoint progression for every class ist one point per level.
The Farmer does not get penalized on levelup (just at start he gets zero skillpoints opposed to every other class, which get two).
Re: Alchemist herb growth rate
to make things clearer: if i had 4 alchemists, i could put at least one of each herb into their bags and watch them ALL mutliply? atm i have crystal flower, and ONLY crystal flower, in 2 of their inventories (the only 2 i got), to avoid the chance of another herb being duped, but this idea is wrong, isnt it? i could have one stack of each herb in their inventories and watch them all copy?

Re: Alchemist herb growth rate
With 4 alchemists they all would have their own herbs (at least one of each)
They will each replicate at the given steps taken.
As stated at each X step a certain herb will replicate. It is not a timer based on when each of your alchemists had it placed in their inventory.
Yes all herbs will replicate. There is no need to have each with a specific herb.
They can all carry a herb/herbs and they will replicate as normal.
