Stuck in Crypt - Laboratory.

Hey

I'm stuck at the laboratory part in Orkuls (spelling?) crypt. The section with tons of spikes and a riddle in a scroll.

Solution:

Take away two torches from handlers. Than you will see light where are next turn no spikes. So always go on light squares when you can.

I am not stuck, but just got to this area on hard no saves...

should I let some creatures out a few at a time or just go through?

I suppose the xp is not worth the hassle?
edit, it was ok, just ran back to door if I got hammered, but it is not too bad.
