This is a very cool suggestion.Boeroer wrote:I would also like to make a suggestion concerning "charged" secondary attacks.
How about this:
1. doubleclick starts charging ---> charging bar starts filling...
2. doing stuff with other chars (normal attacks, secondary attacks/start charging)...
3. then later release the fully charged secondary attack with another click (if charge bar was full - else release a normal attack).
In this way you have it all - tactics, flexibility and a somewhat realistic behavior. You could also give visual feedback if the charge bar is full - like blinking the character portrait or the charge bar or whatever.
- Choose the character who will use a special weapon attack this round.Greco wrote: you simply cannot attack with other party members while you "charge" the special attack. Yet Grimrock is a party-based rpg, or is it not? The thing here is that "charging" a special attack to one party member disables actions of the whole rest party completely.
This is pretty much how I do it when I do it.redsocialknight wrote:- Choose the character who will use a special weapon attack this round.Greco wrote: you simply cannot attack with other party members while you "charge" the special attack. - Attack or cast spells with the other three characters.
- Those three characters are now on cooldown.
- Charge the fourth character's special attack instead of just standing there.
