Is there a way to tell what gender the different default characters are? Maybe a list or something. Some are pretty obvious (humans mainly), but others I can't tell. This is kinda semi important when naming my characters but nothing gamebreaking or anything, but would still be very nice to know.
Heh?
This fighter named 'Shadow' is a woman, the rest is male.
Hint:
DON'T WATCH 'Conchita Wurst'!
(It's just shinto-protestantic chasar-bolshevik frankist-neocon-nazi-mason-jesuit-ISIS-jew wannabe crypto-illuminati NWO stuff sponsored by the Vatican, Dalai Lama + House of Saud, NSA, BND and MOSSAD - designed to screw your brain. Also Putin has his hands in this.)
Better Hint:
Create a custome party just to look at all the available portraits.
Yes, with Insectoids it gets difficult to judge, but I *hope* you will have no problems when looking at mammals...

Uh wha? ^^;
Err, anyways... When I said default I meant the ones available by default in the character creation. Some are obvious, but other seem very gender neutral but still every character have a gender assigned to them but I see no way of telling what it is in the character creator.
I too would like to know whether the portraits are male or female, as some can be difficult to tell apart. A simple gender symbol (♂ or ♀)next to it would do.
There's a certain beauty to just ignoring gender whatsoever. Sure you can make arguments for "men are strong blah blah blah", but there's no reason for avoiding full equality - at the end of the day it's just a character thing and you can leave that up to the player.
