Are there enough keys (of all types) and lockpicks to literally open all doors and locked chests / areas in the game? Or do you have to carefully choose?

From what I've read, there are more golden locks than golden keys so you have to choose wisely for them, but there are more than enough lockpicks.

I would assume yes. But realize that the optional rooms might have some of their keys in hidden/secrets.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
