No Antialiasing?

Post by eispfogel »

Hi there. Downloaded the game from gog an hour ago and after a lenghty but thoughtful character creation i stranded on the isle of nex...but...pretty fast i saw that all edges and foliage are badly aliased, as if i still have sand in my eyes.

I checked the options menu, but there is no AA option.
I forced 4x Multisampling via the nvidia control panel - does not work. I will now check the nvidia inspector and try sparsegrid supersampling - but i know this will have a pretty hefty impact on my fps :/

So far only FXAA works. Maybe you guys from Almost Human can implement at least something like FXAA, MLAA, SMAA in the next patch? I guess Multi- and Supersampling does not work because of your rendering method.

Thanks for the laugh Almost Human :)

Posted this in the other AA-thread, try till http://mrhaandi.blogspot.se/p/injectsmaa.html for some AA-action. Unfortunately it also blurs the text a little..

The best fix for reading ingame-text issues is to run the application in question with the native resolution of your display. Beats any AA solution handsdown.

Tried that. My native resolution is 1920x1080 (16:9) and everything looked quite small and portraits looked funny and not very pleasant. Text was crispy though.

Running at 1440x900 (16:10) as I did for LoG1.

Have to check the AA thing. I am usually not too picky about it and I tend to run all games with AA off.
