Will Grimrock 2 have easy, normal and hard difficulty settings like Grimrock? And if so are they comparable to easy, normal and hard in Grimrock in terms of challenge?
If it's similar I'll probably enjoy my first playthrough best on Hard. But if it's tougher across the board, Normal might be more fun for me.

Re: Difficulty
Aye LoG2 will have the same three difficulties as LoG1 plus some new twists to it.
From my experience as beta tester i can say this:
LoG2 Easy is similar to LoG1 Normal
LoG2 Normal is similar to LoG1 Hard, maybe a bit more
LoG2 Hard is .. Ouch!
In addition you can select
- Old-School mode like in LoG1 which permanently disables the map.
- Ironman mode which reduces saving the game to crystal use alone.
- Single-Use Crystals which does what is says: one crystal for one use only.

There is Easy, Normal and Hard and there's the oldschool mode. There's also a new Ironman mode which allows saving only at crystals. And there's a setting for turning crystals one time use only
Betatesters have reported that Normal is harder than in LoG1 and Hard is tough as a nail.

Heh, Dr. Disaster beat me.
I don't recommend selecting Hard for first playthrough.

Re: Difficulty
Im so gonna go Oldschool, like in the first part. I'm not so sure about Iron-Mode, though, just to clear this up: Single Use for Crystals, does that only mean for Saving, for Resurrection, or for Healing? Or for all three of them?

All three at once. One touch and it's done.diceman wrote:Im so gonna go Oldschool, like in the first part. I'm not so sure about Iron-Mode, though, just to clear this up: Single Use for Crystals, does that only mean for Saving, for Resurrection, or for Healing? Or for all three of them?
Re: Difficulty
Will it be like Grimrock 1 that we choose the difficulty at the beginning of the game and can`t change it during the playthrough or will we be able to change the difficulty settings at every time?

Re: Difficulty
Huh? What's the point in changing difficulty mid-game? You set it at start like in LoG1 and that's it until the end.Mike_nWo wrote:Will it be like Grimrock 1 that we choose the difficulty at the beginning of the game and can`t change it during the playthrough or will we be able to change the difficulty settings at every time?
Re: Difficulty
Thanks.
Just one more question: can I select both "Iron"-Settings seperately? So, one-time-crystals (for healing and resurrection), but still being able to save anywhere?
