Just curious. ;)

I hope it will be longer, in theory they have lot more toys to play around with and that means they can create a larger variety of puzzles which means they can in theory put in more content without it starting to feel repetitive.

However, I am not sure people who might actually know whether it will be longer or not right now can say so quite yet.

Grimrock 2 is about 25% longer and has a much larger variety of different environments. We have said that playtime is 20h+ but playtimes of beta testers have varied between 20 and 45 hours. I also posted some asset statistics a while back on Twitter: Grimrock 2 has 2x textures, 3x 3D models, 2.5x animations and 2x sounds compared to Grimrock 1.

I can't wait to see the various environments :-)

Thanks, sounds great!
According to Steam, the first part took me roughly 17 hours to finish (normal, oldschool), but that's just the time, when I knew where I was going. All in all I think I easily spent twice this time in the Dungeon. You know, cracking my skull open over sadistic, mind-bending puzzles is also gametime. 8-)

They say it's 20 hours. They say it's a short game. But when you run the game blind without guides, a map, or a sense of direction...

Prepare to play a game that is far longer than the Story quest of skyrim.

Well apparently I spent 157 hours with the first Grimrock, but that probably includes a bunch of time where I left the editor open and went to grab lunch.
About 12 hours, plus anything I redid due to deaths, for the campaign.

The Almost Human team is amazing with what they've done with the first one, and the second sounds and appears like its on another level completely.
