Riddle/puzzle help

Im stuck in the pillars of light, at the spot with the sign that reads "a lone pillar of light stands alone in the night" I have no idea what to do. I have tried just leaving 1 torch glowing and a number of other torch combos, if someone could help me out that would be amazing

What skill is needed to cast life spells? Especially healing? I mean has anybody already figured it out?
