Any hints on the new class?
Can we get any hints on what the new class will be?
Paladin hopefully? Pretty please.

Paladin: a Fighter with an attitude.
Well we already have Fighters and attitudes so .. let's try something else.

Looking at the approach AH has done with classes so far, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't stoop so low to use as stereotypical class as "paladin".

I don't mind paladins the problem would be that it wouldn't fulfill even a slightly new role. It would just be a matter of do I want a fighter or a paladin? All they are is a different flavor of the same thing.

Yeah, a different kind of approach would be nice, like tree-man, who only eats fruit, doesn't wear armor but has natural thick skin.. =)

Re: Any hints on the new class?
Paladin would be a dream come true. But not a watered down Paladin, a Paladin with his own special Paladin/Holy/Honor whathaveyou skill tree with unique powers/spells/abilities. Like Holy Sword that transforms your sword into a weapon pf light that cuts through enemies like a Jedi cuts through script holes!!
But anyhow, one thing I love about Grimrock is that there is no 'Cleric' class. That's why if they have a Paladin type class not only would I want it renamed to something like Holy Knight, but also not it be a healing/buffing class.

Re: Any hints on the new class?
From the sounds of it you want a paladin to just be a better fighter. I'm also curious: What is a watered down paladin watered down from?
(Note: You may mean D&D Supplement 1: Greyhawk the first game ever with a paladin I believe. However it's kind of odd to consider anything after such a primitive debut watered down. In all future works paladins healed and buffed.)

No I don't want the Paladin to be a better fighter. I wat a Paladin type class, except I don't want a heal/buff bot that many games make Paladins out to be. I want a unique class that wears armor, uses sword/hammers and uses Holy type abilities/skills/spells.
