aha thanks, but now i am by the horrible iceball catcher, the same sprintingtime topsportleveled hurry up puzzle as in legend of grimrock.( level 10 or so) (you must block 4 and more icballs who fired with different intervals to open the door) (time for a new keyboard and mouse after finished this) in log i leave the treasure for what it was after a long trying but i hink that the 4 th gold key is lying after this door...

It's more simple here: just go in the NW angle and block just one of each. To do this:
- cast a fire or ice shield (if needed),
- disable the invisible teleporter with the button in the fireball corridor, just before the angle.

@germanny: oh, I think I've just understand what you mean... I was reading an article about magic scrolls and default spells and they used a default 3x3 matrix as follow:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Is that what you refered to?

Having my second run through and discovered an area I missed somehow on my first go.

I'm on level 5 and in an area with 2 receptors. 1 is Ice I think and the other fire but I stand on the pressure plate and fire a Icebolt at 1 and a Fireball at the other and nothing happens. Am I missing something here? 1 receptor says "my brothers love burns me" or somthing like that.

above the pressure plate, cast one frostbolt (or improved_frostbolt) and one fireball (or fireball_greater) in the corresponding directions. Do no walk out the pressure plate while you are casting the two spell, it will reset the counter.
Moreover, if you are not skilled enough, an help button will grow up the required skills.

I really did miss it first time - don't know how. Anyway tried frostbolt and fireball - nothing happens. I wanted to zoom through the second time just to see if I could find all the secrets and used a very powerful party. Could that be the reason? My mage has 25 spellcraft in ice and fire.

I've checked the dungeon's code and test it many times since your last post, but found no issue, all works as expected.
Do you play with the last version (1.06)?

If you use a previous version (until 1.03 as I can remember), the case of skilled mages that spawn fireball_greater or improved_frostbolt were not managed. Since the version after I checked mage's skills and updated the corresponding receptors' activated by value.

Can you download the source file and test it on your side?
