[DEVELOPER DISCUSSION] One Room Round Robin 2 (SPOILERS)
Re: [OPEN - SIGNUP / DISCUSS] One Room Round Robin 2!
Hey guys, what's going on?
We wanted this wrapped up for Nov 1st, now December 1st is approaching...
jKos submission is now integrated and a lot of little bugs are ironed out. jKos is also helping a lot with testing, and has provided an AWESOME update to his framework which has increased performance dramatically. Yay.
But else, Spiderfighter, Leki, Xanathar, Isaac, Flatline, how are things progressing?

I'm progressing; (working on it tonight even)... But honestly I was close to burn out and took a two day break playing Brutal legend... But I'm feeling much better now.Diarmuid wrote:But else, Spiderfighter, Leki, Xanathar, Isaac, Flatline, how are things progressing?

Did my framework optimizations really improve the performance dramatically for you? That's great, but I'm a bit surprised, because I did't notice much improvement myself, butDiarmuid wrote: and has provided an AWESOME update to his framework which has increased performance dramatically.

I can understand that if the CPU is the bottle neck on the computer, then those optimizations can improve the performance a lot. My computer's bottle neck is propably the GPU.
Btw. If someone needs help with his room, I can spare a few hours for testing and scripting mostly, I can't do 3D models or animations and that stuff.

Well I have a quad 4thgen i7 so it shouldn't matter but I did notice a difference in busier places.JKos wrote:Did my framework optimizations really improve the performance dramatically for you? I honestly haven't had the chance to touch it in almost a week. I'm going to try and get it finished today; I'm still missing a puzzle, and there's a wall sign that refuses to align properly for some bizarre reason. Other than that, though, I'm done.Diarmuid wrote: But else, Spiderfighter, Leki, Xanathar, Isaac, Flatline, how are things progressing?

Should we decide that 1st December is final deadline anyone missing that is cut off and we start testing?
It might sound harsh but some of us finished their rooms already on the summer so there has been plenty of time to create the room.
Finish up latest on Sunday or forfeit is my vote.

Re: [OPEN - SIGNUP / DISCUSS] One Room Round Robin 2!
At the end of my section, the door lever in the hall is removed from the game and replaced with a wall_text that is not aligning properly. I've tried different orientations and locations, but can't seem to get it to view correctly. I've uploaded a video to the Testing & Bugs folder, along with an updated bugs.txt.
Other than that, I'm done. Do you want me to upload the test file seen in the video, or the finished map with the bug?

SpoilerShow
The test file has a necessary potion all ready to complete my section.

That's what I've been thinking as well. As spider and Isaac are almost done, and Xanathar will try to get it done, this means only flatline will probably be left out, but we need to draw a line somewhere indeed.aaneton wrote:Should we decide that 1st December is final deadline anyone missing that is cut off and we start testing?

So we'll wrap this up and start testing next week.
Leki's room is all ready but I miss the dragon particle effects. I'll try to raise him again.
