:o :o :o :o :o :o     ieeek... auuuw.. :o :o :o :o :o

i am totally stuck in the grazy firebird big room afterthe 4 challenge tests.. you must run to the other side, and there is a door who falls down behind you, and you trapped in a room with 2 lantern idiots who killed you immediatly!!!!!!
and falling down in the cricket pit is a dead end.. after killing all the green crickets you run out of food and if you try to go upper to the other side (after healing by the blue pillar) you have 2 choices.. killed by the fire birds or killed by the lantern idiots!!
i think, the game ended here for me!!!.. i give this a retry to go back in savegames to do the whole temple levels over again with an other choice of magic spells by level gaining, and a better food plan...

but by the way.. you are all great hero,s who made a remake of the old dungeon games as dungeon master, chaos strikes back, knightmare, and now eob 2.. i see also a begin of eob 1.. and the custom dungeons the master key and the chaos key are absolute top!!
i hope that abandoned places 2 (for amiga only 1992) also made for this grimrock modding!! i play it on the amiga 20 years ago and that was a great adventure with, the most mindbreaking puzzles and riddles i ever see in a dungeon game (in level 10 (or 11?)you must cast a fireball on exactly 1 place and 1 direction in the middle of a big corridor to open a door).. :o

Hi all.
I found cool party for this mod.
First line - 2 lizardman rogues, max dexterity. 50 points to unarmed combat, 11 to dodge. Before the final battles they have 31 dexterity which means 100 resist fire and shock. And also near 100 evasion. So they can stand in front of trolls or ice lizads and take no damage. And they do good damage with Three Point Technique. Beholders and final boss do zero damage to them, ideal tanks).
Second line - 2 lizardman rogues, max dexterity. One - 12 to assassination, 42+ to unarmed combat (can do 50 if you have some skill books). Don't care about his damage, just need as much dexterity as possible to have 100 resist fire and shock.
Second - 50 to missle, 4 to dagger or 4 to umarmed or 5 to dodge. Here you can never reach 30+ dexterity but you can use amulets / fire gloves to gain resist near 100.

So your party members are fully (or nearly fully) immune to all fire and lightning attacks and can evade most of physical attacks. And they still do good damage due to 50 ponts in their weapon skills.

P.S. Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native.

Hi there,
acutally you are suposed to kill these two lantern idiots :D It is quite hard fight, but if you get so far, I think you can manage it. Potions of speed and some frost bobm will always help in these situations. There is healing crystal in cave before this fight, so your party should be ready to go. I also suggets to paly Easy difficulty for this dungeon as even normal is quite hard for regular players. Wish you good luck !

Oh it does fine as long as you get behind your target fast enough. Then it also depends on the weapon in use. Unarmed gives you only the regular backstab while Daggers enable the enhanced backstab and several other special attacks from the Assassination tree.

Now Assassination 50 and the rest in Daggers is actually much more effective then the other way around mentioned above; no more slow work with backstabs due to one-hit-kills.

Hi fantastic mod! A couple of questions (version 5b):

1. does grim cap do anything? I eat it but it does nothing
SpoilerShow
2. I can't get out of the high priest room (the one with the 2 tough shielded priests and the treasure room near the end of the game), what am I supposed to do?

No matter, did it.
