Why not just make your own? If you can use the tools to alter a design, then you should be able to use the tools to design from scratch.
I guess I'm skilled enough to make what I want. In SH topic you can see scpecification, how I want to create city wallset. But there is potentially still copyrighted visual of the reference, although gothic wall is gothic wall. Someone can come and say it's based on my idea etc... Sorry, I completely lost my motivation.
man thats grimm, dont get me wrong its completely understandeable that you've lost your enthusiasm for modding when being treated this way. and what kind of a shmuck reports ones work, after probably having downloaded and used it in someway. its probably because nexus has turned from a modding comunity into a advertising site moreof lately, the same reason why they need a nexus site for every bloody game out there, even if there is nothing to mod, like ufo nexus. also the sites owner has a smile........ bearing teeth when one does not abide by the lord and master of "his" universe's will.
ah screw em anyway, there are other sites that provide and showcase to modding comunity, plenty actually and with a less unpleasant, and more gratefull audience . still it would be verry depressing to never see any of your awesome work ever again, especially wher i was just working in a whole bunch of 40k tanks

to hell with nexus, what a rotten way to end ones motivations, and kill ones enthusiasm
but please reconsider your giving up modding after a while...... ;)

Why?
It's simple. Some assets on Nexus were reported.
As you know, for barbarian I used as a reference model from Skyirm. I made mesh based on that source mesh, made new parts, made new skin, remaped it, made new texture etc, etc, so I cannot say if it's technically still the copyright protected asset, or not... but it doesn't matter. I don't want to spend my time playing copyright games. Someone had a problem with it, reported it and Nexus removed it. I cannot guarantee that it will not happen again, we live in the world where rectangle is under copyright, as you know. So I removed all my assets and I'm done with Nexus and moding as well. Have a nice day.
This is a sad news, after all knows all the nice work you have doing here! Anyway, did you need nexus to publish your works? why no try on some other website?
Not sure what you mean by "playing copyright game" (if you mean that you wouldn't play, or buy copyright game?), anyway there are copyrighted and free game, that's it, the world will not change, the profits will not disappear.

Did you own the morrowind game? If you have one license, you have the right to modify their models, as they give you an editor to do it. I don't know how about porting model from another game to another game, but why not if you own both license?

I hope you will reconsider to continu modding things :)

The "not with my game you don't!" copyright game.

Bethesda forbids it; no forward or back porting allowed. The neat thing about Obsidian's treatment of FO:New Vegas, is that they included nearly all pertinent FO3 assets in the NV resource files [used or not] ~so it counts as an NV asset for NV mods.

...
It's very simple:
Are all elements created entirely by you from scratch?
Are all elements created from scratch or altered from native resources from that game?
Are all elements created from scratch, permitted by their original author, or altered from native resources from that game?
If you cannot answer "Yes" to any of these questions, then you cannot share those resources.

It's clear. I used a part of diffuse texture from Skyrim (model is practically new, because downoladed one was corupted and i have no idea how to get them from Skyrim etc) so I cannot ansswer "Yes." It looked "too similiar" to Skyrim model and that was a problem. Ok. I understand. All right. My fault.

What I don't understant is, if the strict rules are based on these questions, why you can download mods like http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/5579/?...

In credits of that mod, on the first line, you can read:
Thanks to THQ for the dawn of war series: music, voice quotes, sound all right reserved

So the mod contains audio assets protected by copyright... WTF? In this case "No problemo"? Since 2010? For a years? Ok... I am confused now... Oh, wait! Surprise! F3 to W40K mod generates a lot of downloads etc, so Nexus closed his eyes and said "It was not reported, you know..." WTF?

Anyway... rules are rules... I have no problem with them. Next time I will do it 100% by my self or by guys like oddins is (hope you are still working on SH city wallset). In this case it was not the goal, but for SH I work on my own models and textures, so anybody (excepting Games Workshop, haha - but I am ready to make 6-handed gemestealers and Super Bolter Guns, etc) can kiss my axe...

I'm just pised off because of methods of judging of Nexus and as I said I am done with them. But you are right, there is not the reason to give up...

so completely agree with all of the above, also verry happy that you reconsidered your retreat fro modding, also you should know that nexus is a wanker operated-moderated site that even bans people for posting links to other modding site, but enough of foul one's nexus nutthouse,on to better things , and yes i'm onboard for any work, texture or modelwise. speaking of wich i have some raw model resources for a tyranid hormagaunt wich could be used in combination with genestealers since being of the same race, also i have about 7 or 8 40k tank models including rhino apc, and various other heavier 40k tank types, they need a little fixing and texturing, but i'm gonna take a swing on it, as for tyranid hormagaunt its a one piece-one texture model, and is completely textured and very authentic looking, so if yer interested in hormagaunt just say the word and i will make it ingame static and drop you a link
like back in the day with the ghoul, also i would advise to take your mods and asset releases to a site like modjob, they host a lot of content and authors whom were banned from nexus for bullstank reasons, or make it dropbox releases. space there is free up to 2gig
heck , and should you need more storage space on dropbox i'll even offer up my free space there, man its just good to know your not giving up on modding. i'm sure the log comunity would have missed you and your work sorely.
kind regards ........ odinsballs :D

As I said before, I am not leaving and you no need to take any actions. I can handle it by my self and I no need any emisars.... and I am sure, Nexus goes to remove ALL illegal content on his sites very soon

Hey Leki,

Sorry to hear about the aforementioned dramas.
I'm using your Ghoul, Slugomorg (and a couple of other monsters I think...)
I love your work, and wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your efforts
The boss battles in The Labyrinth of Lies wouldn't be the same without your contributions

Hope you are well and glad to hear you will be staying with us here ;)

All the best

Akroma :D
