Hey.

I think Dr.Disaster just didnt want take all the surprise from you :D
As for the ultimate sword - there are three parts to be found. I do not remember specific levels, so just briefly -
SpoilerShow
first part is in the Temple Underground secret area (it is level where you cant sleep). Second part is reward from guessing "weight" riddle and last part could be gained in level where you get from Cleric Barracks, when crossing pit / fireball room
As for the carpets, you need to insert torches just in particular torch holders (carpets give you some clue)
Thanks a lot. That was exactly what I wanted to know.

@Dr.Disaster

Maybe I expected the wrong thing by posting here in this forum.

I assume that all posters know that there are gonna be spoilers if they ask precise questions. In addition, I assume that all posters know that spoilers can take away fun from playing the game for at least some players.

I came here for information and not to be questioned about my motives or if I am (in your point of view) eligible to obtain the information I requested or to be taught how to play the game. If I e.g. finished the game without having found all parts of the ultimate sword and in my next run through or with an older savegame would like to complete the sword, why not? And if I would like to know how a riddle is solved, I'd like the answer and not to be questioned if I tried to solve the puzzle myself or not. What difference does it make? I just want the information, no matter the reason.

If you do not want to answer my questions, OK. Fine, no problem. But if you e.g. answer to my question how many parts the ultimate sword has and answer in a way like "obvious more than you got" or "keep searching", I cannot take that response seriously.

However, thanks again for taking your time to respond.

Best,

Gunnar

When you ask "is there something?" and expect a walkthru well then i'm definatly the wrong person to answer.

The difference is if one has fun in discovering stuff and solving puzzles or not.

OK, no problem.

That is exactly what I meant. You are somehow concerned about my style of play, i.e. me having fun or not solving a particular riddle or finding a certain item.

By the way, if I wouldn't have fun in "discovering stuff and solving puzzles" I wouldn't play Grimrock and the great mods for hours and hours. However, if I need help a few times during the game that doesn't make me not liking "discovering stuff and solving puzzles" and I would play games like Diablo with little to no riddles.

Over and out,

Gunnar

I would like to congratule you, Drakkan, on this awesome MOD. :) I finished it yesterday. It's really fantastic and sometimes I had to check this topic to solve the actually problem.

Sometimes it was difficult to decide which items are needed in further levels, for example, the water orbs from the priests aren't good for anything later (or they are? :) ).

But I found accidently a major bug which isn't bad for the party, but for balance (and for other MODs later), it's not so good.
SpoilerShow
After completing the Rainbow close to the end, and got 2000 XP for solving it, I had tried to compare the names of the gems with the others and had put the gem back to it's place on the Rainbow's puzzle. And I got 2000 XP again. Well, I checked again, and got the XP again. So everybody could have been reach any high (20+) levels with some clicking and it is not so good I guess.

No problem. :) I played with v5a version, I have just checked it. I downloaded it from your first post in this topic, manually, it was the first map I have played with :) Aren't you working on a new dungeon?

On level 20 I found some minor cosmetic typos: stools inside chairs. I think the table model already had them and you put extra chairs in the same square? I also saw chairs inside table legs, so removing those chairs will solve it. I think I also found 2 sapphire keys elsewhere with different looks (small round & rectangle), but I can't remember where. Perhaps rename one to turqoise, tanzanite, larimar, iolite, apatite, diamond or any other blue colored gem?

Hi Frenchie, thanks for notice, I will eventually look on this table + chair, you are correct, these are two objects. About the keys, thats quite possible, there is more incompabilities between locks / keys, but that was problem from the begining due to the models issue. Not sure if I will ever get to correct it, as I am not planing any new version right now.
