actually no , I had to script it that way since when you get to certain events I wanted music to change abruptly on the same floor and this is the only way I can do that. But to be honest its been a while im testing certains scripts to have an on/off music option but im not there quite yet.
atm I passed levels 3 and 4, and a part of the Ruined Temple. I really like when the equipment is not excessive, but my swordsman is still fighting with a dagger Did I miss something? (and I also haven't seen a signle axe so far, luckily I don't need it)
Level 7, came to an altar with a key upon it, taking it triggers a poison death. Standard, I've put an item instead of the key, grabbed it safely, but now have no idea what does it open... doublechecked the whole level - seems I've been everywhere.
btw I destroyed the wall which was talken about in the note (hollow sound when hit by a shuriken), but cannot reach the breach b/c the pit does not let me go... here I think I've pressed all the buttons and plates as well

The key is needed to reach the end of the level. Besides you should have found stairs down by now. Did you?
