Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
Re: Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
Hey Jaberwoke,
thanks for taking the time to answer me.
Yes, I tried to remove one or two items from the alcove in the teleporter room, but without any effect.
Best,
Gunnar

Re: Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
I don't know then. Don't worry too much. There's just a few items there - nothing essential to finishing the game. I know it's frustrating when you can't do it though. When I played it through the second time, after Conchron modified the script, the round-key room was the last to visit with alcoves and the teleporter was already there when I opened the door - no need for the items in the alcoves.Gunnar wrote:Hey Jaberwoke,

Re: Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
Now I could look at the picture, and jaber is right. The teleporter appears in the same room. For me was just removing the TWO itens on this room and it appeared. But while you try this, make 100% sure that ALL the other alcoves are filled, no matter with what.

You should find a note or scroll talking about dropping things in all pits. This is about the area that you teleport to after the fireball area. In the same area as the altar of Isin you have a wall grating and a pit behind it. Drop something and you'll see a secret door open behind the pit. That's all you can do for now since you drop down to level 3 at the altar. Once you come back to level 2 you need to go straight forward, to the portcullis and in to that corridor. The secret door you opened earlier is at the end of the corridor, and that's where you'll find the lever for the iron door.

First you need to be a "top student" and have 18 gems. Then you need to fill all the altars in the row.
If you've done that then you go into the room that opened ... and remember lesson #1, "to give is to get". There are 4 alcoves and they will open a secret door where you'll find the lever that opens the iron door at the end of the level.

Don't feel stupid, I'm surprised that people get as far as they do without asking for help.

Re: Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
I had no idea the alcoves would cause so much problems. As Jaberwoke said, it should work since you've found all 23 alcoves needed. I've checked you map and it's all in order.Gunnar wrote:Yes, I tried to remove one or two items from the alcove in the teleporter room, but without any effect.

Hey.

Yeah, I did make sure not only 100% but 1000% that all the other alcoves are filled. It has to be a glitch. But since it is not essential I skipped the part after investing four hours in this alone.leewroy wrote:Now I could look at the picture, and jaber is right. The teleporter appears in the same room. It's OK !!!
you are very much kind !!! (and also patient)
but....I still have to take advantage of your kindness
I don't find the "key that's not a key (a key sword) "
I think it is in level 3...and more precisely in "Pay attention to detail" path...
I find all hidden buttons (11 precisely)...
but in a map that i have find in Internet, I see near the stairs at the end of level, there is a small area closed by a wall !!!
I don't able to open the wall...
perhaps I need to drop from a pit in level 2 ???
or there is a teleport anyway ?
thanks in advance...I'm sorry for the insistence
Re: Master Arrak's Treasure (MOD)
Hi, I think you're right. One of the alcoves add to the counter when you put something in it, but does not subtract when something is removed. That would mean that you add every time you put something in it and keep on adding if you remove and put back stuff. It's the alcove to the left of the healing stone. Could that be the glitch?Gunnar wrote: It has to be a glitch.

The way in is through the teachers quarters. Go to Professor Kruka. The name is by the door. Find the secret room and drop down to level .5 There is a switching teleporter. You'll see it change colour. One takes you back to Kruka's room the other teleports you to a secret room on level 4 where the "key" is.

You drop down from level 2. It's right at the beginning where you open a grating by feeding the god of hunger. But, you need to remove the ogre from the cell too for the secret door to open.
