Level 5 puzzle

(Sorry for my English, I'm French)
First, thanks you very much for this MOD, you did a good job!
But I'm on Level 5 and I have a big problem with a puzzle, just down before "5-6-42 NW cell" secret.
There's a lever, three doors (only two doors on the original game!, )
I can't pass this door and go to "deserted tunnels", can you help me?
I tried to pull down the lever, push the button and throw a pebble to the plate and go fast to the door, but I can't?!

It's nearly identical, just with the extra door to open and toss an item when it's halfway open or so. Try to turn as few times a possible, and keep your mouse in the middle for quick clicking.

near a Toorum's note " I haven't slept well lately..." there is a portcullis without lever, button o lock
near there is a aclove and in the wall is writing: " The edge of sharp light, shocking and bright, wielded in might, cuts trough the night. Here resotred to his slumber"
How I can open the dooor ???
In original game this portcullis has a lever...

If anyone has a walk through of the Pillared Hallway, I am stuck. Also I would love a complete walk through of the Master Quest. When I was 35 I would have the time and energy to spend hours solving these puzzles but at age 62, I don't have the time, BUT still enjoy the game play. So as soon as anyone has a walkthough of EVERYTHING please let me know.

I've done the walkthrough up through level 4, but it's slow coming. For the pillared hallway you can look it up online from the original game, it's nearly identical, just move all the way over to the rigth or all the way over to the left before making the forward steps for each side.

Man I need to get back to this. Too many great games to play, not enough time.
Of course, I think you royally screwed up my brain with your colored "switchboard" lights puzzle. I took one look at it and said aloud "hell no!"

you need an item from a secret room off of the first room of the level - the wall texts in that first room will help you find it.

remove all torches from the torch holders, this will open a wall on the W side, get the item, return to that closed portcullis and place the item in the alcove

Woohoo! Just finished playing it, lots of fun... congratulations, some areas were really impressive, like the tomb of the designers and the final hall. I really loved replaying through Grimrock like that.

In the "some places are worth revisiting" about the deep pit, were we supposed at some point to get back at the top of the pit and climb it down, or did that refer to when you reach the pit from the bottom?
Also in the last hall, we see some places upwards, some boots, etc. Are they reachable?
