One refers to fire, I think. But no idea what the "hanging instrument" is (besides the obvious, you perv! :P ). I tried shooting fire at various points -- the door, the lock, the statue, the riddle itself -- with no result. I'm usually pretty good at riddles, but I just can't seem to get on your wavelength here.

So do the two riddles actually relate to anything? I don't get how those are supposed to translate to "jump down here". :?

I agree with JKCarrier. I can't see any clue on this in the game... I think there should be some.
And:

still stuck inside the room, I've found how to re-open the door, but it keeps closing when I step on the entrance. So I guess I need the "light of knowledge", but I filled the alcoves accessed via the pits with the apparently requested items and nothing happened? Orbs, right? Or maybe it's also related to the riddles on the upper walls? Shoud I put 2 items in each alcove?

I restarted quite old party just to see that it was not corn. I should have translate "hewn" sooner, it was the magic word, but I didn't know this one, not English. Anyway, I think that putting consumables as quest items is a dangerous thing, and there are some in this corridor...

They relate to what you will find when you drop down.
Not all the riddles in the game are the same difficult. As you progess further ingto the dungeon you really have to start using your head and exploring possiblities. But there is always room for improvement, and any feedback is welcome. I may end up creating a second revision to clean up some of these issues.

I apologize if they are difficult to understand. If English is not your first language I could see where they would be difficult.
The riddles are in the style of the ancient Anglo Saxon riddles. They were often bawdy, and sounded naughty, when in reality they refered to every day items. In the case of the Library you need the book, the key, and the light.
If I could find a good way to provide multiple language translations for the riddles I would.

I tried to provide enough consumables, including ones on levels 5 and 6, so the players would almost always have the item on hand.
But the reward at the end of the Halls is worth the effort. Also, I can name at least several other dungeons where consumables are used to unlock doors and secrets. But like I said before, I'm always open to suggestions on improving the dungeon.

Hello.

I have reached the Halls of Wisdom (and reached to the end I think - got a lot of goodies) but I am half stuck on level 7 now.

I have three blue skulls (onyx and whatever) but I don't know how to proceed. I reached a place called "certain death" and after getting a sould pendant I couldn't be able to went back, so I reloaded a previous savegame. In the riddle where are a lot of pits I got one of those blue skulls. On the riddle that says "family" I don't know what to do. Tried placing some skulls at random but nothing seemed to happen. In the "beware what lurks in the dark" riddle I reached a locked door with some eye wall carving. I don't know what to do either.
I feel I am missing something. Any hints would be really appreciated.
