Meditating in my cell on the airship. Soon I will be dropped into Grimrock with a slew of other unfortunate souls.

Played through most of SPAZ and some games of MTG2012.
Planted a new Veggie garden.. brussels sprouts, spring onions, passion fruit and parsley... oh and peas and chives to go in yet. Not sure if they are all going to cark it, what is good to grow in Autumn?

Bought and played a bit of Ultima Underworld I & II from gog.com

Even though those games aren't grid-style dungeoning, Grimrock makes me reminisce.

I've been playing Etrian Odyssey and Dark Spire to relieve the stress of waiting.
Great games especially Dark Spire, I didn't expect such a good game for handheld!

Man I hate the control scheme in SPAZ...

I beat it and they made an update for it and they completely nerfed boosters and cannons. Even with the free upgrade I have no desire to play the game anymore.

1) playing worms reloaded, trine 2, watching movies, playing twister with the neighbour's daughter (p0Wn3D :D), coding some stuff, doing workouts, buying enough supplies to be able to survive 3 weeks without having to leave the house.

2) thinking about ditching my job

I would say they removed the cakewalk of overpowered cannons, due to all the complaints in the forums.

I really like SPAZ so far, had it for ages but did not bother to play until the weekend. Did not want to use cannons much, so I am sort of glad.... they still seemed pretty strong to me. I really have to get the timing right for beams/missiles. I had a plan for small ships to use low tech 'nerfed cannons (but not needed, switched to zappers and beams) or suicide cannons for big armor (which I am going to try next).

I still need to do the inner sector, so maybe I will change my mind, if it is truly messed up, as you say. ez so far though and beams is good for cleaning hull supposedly.

I've been playing Planescape: Torment for the first time and am blown away by the quality of its writing. I'm completely immersed in this world through the text alone. It has lead me to the realization that modern game scripts are insulting our intelligence.
