L3 pit puzzle: There is a wall that prevents me getting to the final pit drop, which will drop me into the L4 area I haven't been to yet. Can this wall be moved? Does it even need to be moved? And if so, may I get a hint?

I've noticed that the pit drops vary in their open/close pattern. What, if anything, influences that? Thanx.

Hi

And if you take time to read the thread Soap already answered about this especially how to deal with the plates below.

The most difficult part of the mod if you dnt understand or rely on pure luck.

U r getting closer to the end :)

Have fun!

"Have fun", you say?? You must be kidding. The ending is a deathtrap. The game goes from being a very tough, challenging puzzle... to an endless twitch-fest which I don't like. I like at least a little bit of role-play in a game (even when I have to imagine it myself), but this ending has no role-play at all. Seemingly endless respawns of Guardians makes this very unpleasant.

And another thing... all thru the dungeon SoaponaRope made combat with tough monsters winnable thru the ability to dodge, retreat and return, and being able to kite the monster. Then we get to L1 and it turns into a 1 in 100 chance of winning because there is very little room to manuever, and NO chance to kite.

As you can probably tell, I'm an older player that DOESN'T like twitch-fests, but for those of you who do, have-at-it.

IMO the ending is a puzzle. You even had a huge hint to it rather early in L5 so let's hope you brought all needed keys with you. Otherwise the Apex becomes a deathtrap because the respawns are indeed endless.

Recall "Raiders of the Lost Ark". In the beginning Indy entered the inner temple room and gazed at that golden idol.
First he figured how to get it and then .. he got the hell out of there!

Now recall what you spotted when you entered the Apex ...

hehe

Im 43 yo already :) :)
About the end, that was just what made (at least for me) this mod a jewel because of innovation. I was so surprised once I discovered that I had (just) to save my life ! That was such a great idea from soap, bringing a change in the so expected & usual final boss fight! This is also a puzzle as DrDisaster rightly says becasue, once u enter the room, if you are not well prepaired or not with all the keys or your party not with the right skilss.... you die!

I really enjoyed the crescendo way to stress the player till the apex!.

I really had a crazy fun (easy to say once I finished it after many many tries :) :) :) ) . For sure it took me some time to set the best tactical to win. Being lucky is also a plus... :) with some fire shield of course....

This mod is the only one I played twice with the Mines.

Struck L4

Well, I fail to reach the central part of L4, although I got the SW corner.

Can anyone save me ?

Does viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3738&start=120#p52697 sound familiar?
