Ran around for quite a while without seeing a monster so I thought they wouldn't respawn, that's why I didn't think about trapping one. But I'm still stuck anyway.

-> Already? This area is one of the first being reachable right after the start. Obviously you did the Gladiator Challenge and the Gauntlet, otherwise you won't have an ornate key yet. Since you can't go up anywhere perhaps exploring further down will help?

I have now three keys (ornate, golden and brass) and a blue gem, but no doors or demon heads to use them on. It's been a while since I started playing the mod, but the only lock I could find was in the corridor with all the trapped skeletons one level below, which apparently requires a gear key.

-> The demon head for the gems shows up on level 3.
-> Ornate keys are required at the top of the pyramid. Save them for later.
-> Brass keys unlock something in lower catacombs and then it will be pretty obvious what gold keys are for.
-> The Undead Army Reserve is released with a prison key and the usual greed for experience once let me use the only key

Still don't know what the third plate does either, I trapped a scavenger inside the room and ran around everywhere on that level without finding anything. Trapped a scavenger in both rooms and apart from blob and lighting madness nothing happened.

-> The room with the single plate only triggers lightning to add some ouch! into the blob's path.
-> A scavenger in the room with 2 plates is enough. That way you got the blob traveling from south to north into it's receptor triggering the pit and a lightning bolt traveling from west to east hitting .. a wall? ;)
Then everything you can do there now is done.
Uh, well, I give up. There is no clue telling me what to do, so how am I supposed to find out? I got one brass key, which was needed for a lock two levels below as I found out after walking through the whole dungeon (so far) again. But another one is needed and I don't have it. There is nothing left to do, except for the storage room on level 5, which I can't open, and the crab room on level 4, which I also can't open. Jumped down the insta-death pits just to make sure I've been everywhere. I understand that the wall getting hit by the lightning bolt is a secret wall, but again, no clue how to open it. The blob receptor does nothing, the lightning spells do nothing, I tried with torches in the holder(s) and without, I looked for secret buttons.

1 brass key down, 1 more to find. You are on the right track in lower catacombs but something tells me that you did not fully explore all it's windings beyond the brass locks.

Lower catacombs has a total of four stairs.

As i said: right now everything you can do there has been done. To do more you have to find another way in.

Doh, don't know how I missed that. I found the stairs already and walked up, but then I didn't walk any further (IIRC correctly because I thought the skeletons were similar to the ones one level below, where you couldn't cross the pit). I already found another brass key and a gold key now, did fall into the pit in the poison bolt corridor challenge part and have to walk all the way back...hrmph. I'll play a bit more later today. Thanks for the help!

Nice mod. AAMOF, its TOO nice. I'm stuck in several spots, so I'll start from the bottom and work up...

... on L6 (lower catacombs) I've found 4 stairways. There is one stairway in the upper middle of the map that is protected by 2 locked portcullii. I've found one key, but still need to find another key (brass key, I think). I need help finding a second brass key, any help appreciated. Outright SPOILERS are welcome, in order to save time. AAMOF, a walkthru would be nice, if one is available. Thanx!

It seems you are exactly where Phitt got stuck last. Do as he did: go up the 4th stairway and keep exploring.

Regarding your "stuck in several spots": you need to keep in mind that the Pyramid is highly non-linear so when you seem stuck in one spot you're very likely able to continue elsewhere.

Which stairs do you consider the "4th stairs"?? There are 4,,, lower left, middle left, upper middle (need key), and lower right. I've been up all of those stairs that I have access too. Thanx.

By "4th stairway" i ment the stairs found last. In your terms it would be middle left.

1st are the exit from the smaller area leading back to the starting area
2nd are the entrance to the larger area coming from the Gauntlet
3rd are the stairs requiring the brass keys
4th give access to new upper areas

I went up the 4th stairs, it takes me to L5 Upper Catacombs, NW area. I have done this area before and defeated the ogre and the skeletal warriors, and found the secret. There are acouple of switches to open walls but they had no brass key. I'm continuing on to L4. If this area (L5) has something that I missed, then pls tell me.

Now at L4 (pyramid base). You arrive in the NW area... the door to the S, I have no key for. I continue on around,,, make it thru the "poison bolt" halls to the stairs up to L3 (ascent). Every switch/button I could find do not lead to a brass key. What do I do now?

Too bad i don't recall where exactly the second brass key is; i only noted where each key is used, not found
Yet Phitt posted up there that he had it when venturing thru the poison halls and i'm pretty sure i had it too by then.

btw: that door to the south requires an iron key.
