my suggestion would be less red, and more white, with yellow replacing a portion of red. But I am not a fire expert.

What you could do is some kind of overlay (extrude a tiny bit/shell modifier or whatever the equivalent is in Blender) with a texture that is set to 'translucent'. That way you get some kind of fake glow map effect. It's a bit expensive as you will need yet another (albeit smaller, you don't need a spec and normal map either) texture and more geometry, but it will certainly give a better fire effect.

But overall very nice work, like always!

I´ll try to use other colors.

What i get with two lights is that for now:
On the first two pics i use two lights - the torchlight and a light for intensity ust over the fire, with a small range ~1.2.

Here is a campfire that glows only, no burning. This is only the intensity light.

That may be possible, so i have to use a copied mesh area just tiny above the basic and set the material in log to additive, no?
