I loved Dungeon Hack. That being said, I do like the idea of a handmade dungeon, at least for the first playthrough. After that it would be awesome to have a random mode for replayability.

Nachtfischer wrote:I aggree, that random content we see today simply cannot compete with hand-made stuff designed with thought and planning. At the same time I'd love randomization as an option. You could still play the good old hand-crafted dungeon once in a while and have some other (random) competitions in between. This discussion might be better off here though: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40 ;)
Or you can have both random and predesigned sections, mixed in a random way, like what Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup does with its vaults.

With a later version of the editor AH is planning to release, I imagine with the scripting capabilities it would be possible to make a procedurally generated dungeon based around certain conditions, no?

It would be alot of work, though.

If nothing else, the years of gaming have definitely taught me that.

The majority of my hundreds of hours in Oblivion were due to modding, after all.

The modding community is the only reason I even touch Minecraft anymore.

I'm more of a Terraria guy myself, but I have a soft spot for sidescrollers and 16-bit(ish) graphics. Too bad there are no more updates for it.

Both are great fun though and I wasted significant chunks of my last two summers on Minecraft and Terraria respectively. Unfortunately I got back into Terraria again recently  Summer, here I come... Guess I better put the brakes on for finals, though.
