I was vaguelly hoping Steam would update the time as 6pm in the evening (UK) is a bit random. I wonder how/why they come up with such a time?

Steam push their new releases at 6PM GMT (8PM local time for me), every single day.
That's also when the new Daily Deal and Weekend / Midweek deals tick in. It's how it works.

Aha good to know, every game I've bought from them on release day has been released at midnight. Guess that's just for AAA titles.

6pm would be perfect for me

Ha, I see everyone has the same pre-release excitement that I'm feeling!
I'm not only wanting release day so I can play the game, but I am excited and nervous for Almost Human ltd, as I want this to be a blow-out success for them with many sales.

A friend told me about this game this morning, watched a few videos, read this boards and all I can say is I love it. Just preoredered it and activated it on Steam. A game like this WAS needed, Im really excited about it and I hope its a great success.
