I'm new to the community here - is the game going to be released for download directly from the grimrock.net at specific hour? Like i.e. after midnight, or later? I'm very excited about the game!

Regards from Poland!
Exact time is unknown, and may vary between distributors. It is only said that the game will be released 'somewhere around' the 11th.

@Mameluk

Thanks a lot, that was what I wanted to know. Let's us hope that the game will be launched asap :) I'm really glad that someone has just taken up on filling in the niche of oldchool RPG's. Remember playing some pen and paper D'n'D sessions with friends long time ago, then we all got fascinated with PC games such as Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master!

I had already pre-ordered from GoG before seeing that if you buy it here you can get a Steam key as well. Since I can't cancel my preorder with GoG, is there any way to get a Steam key short of buying the game on there too, such as paying the difference in what the GoG commission is? Really the only reason I would want Steam over GoG is that it keeps track of the hours played and I use the IM feature a lot with family.

Just wondering, when I'm pre-ordering through your site and it asks for email, mine ends with live.ie. It asks for a valid email and suggests live.com, can I ignore this?

I saw a few posts before that the best way to solve this issue is to directly contact Almost Human, they were able to help the other guy who just accidentally deleted the key page or something.

Will the Mac version be free of charge when released for those pre-ordering or buying the Win/PC version? AFAIK this is usually the case on Steam. Thanks - hardly can wait until tomorrow!

Bodman wrote:Thanks WDKtheV, that link will be useful when Steam support get back to me.

Have changed the download location in Steam but that didn't help and my current IP is assigned to my ISP in the UK according to whois so I'll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully when it gets resolved I'll be able to post an explanation just in case anybody else has the same problem.

As a follow up to my problem it appears that my ISP PlusNet here in the UK were allocating IP addresses in the 37.152.x.x range that Steam wasn't recognising as UK based, which meant my region wasn't being set to the UK.

The quick fix was to switch my modem off and on again ( hey it works :) ) and I've now got a new IP address and have managed to activate Grimrock in my games list ready for the release.

Thanks again to all those who replied to my original email, I appreciate the feedback.
