I voted for humanoids too. There is the most potential there.
Good points on kobold type Thomson. And of course it will help you with EOB which is a plus too.

Agreed on that too. I would like to see a mod where you can talk to a human enemy at one point and fight them later on.

Ok, so I sense a draw between kobold and human.
Generic human is going to be tricky, need to think about what a good generic human is going to be! I think it is worth planning for a specific human first, then look at what the most useful changes to make would be and incorporate them. Maybe a human leather armoured guy who could be npc, trader, caravaneer, bandit, mercenary or so on? They would need different attack anims per weapon type probably, but the rest is generic between all kinds.
Kobold is easy, Ideally I will make the skeleton generic for small humanoids and maye it could be used for goblins or so on in future.

We have a need for an npc or two in the northern realms project, and you sure make 'em pretty!

I will jump on the Human Bandwagon.
I would even suggest making multiple animations /attacks for the model, so others can maybe just build textures and such to change for variety, and then they can turn off/on types of animations for the model..?? (maybe i am talking out my butt, but... hehe I think I saw that like the ogre has multiple animations..?
And then maybe you can offer the same basic model and animation group, but offer multiple "objects / weapons" that the model holds/attacks/uses... ???

and what about a beholder?
we have tentacle already in game , add a sphere and lets go ? :p ok ok ok not so easy but this will be a nice creature in DM world^^

somebody was working on something very similar, can't remember who, but I believe the exact "beholder" is copy protected by Wizards of the Coast (or something like that)
