We could save some hassles, skip the voting part this month and immediately declare Mines of the Malan Vael a winner

I second that. Phitt's dungeon is amazing in all respects, level & puzzle design, balance, a new tileset...

both are great , but i vote for masterkey , to support panda who dont have a big experience on code

I haven't played many dungeons but I was very impressed with Phitt's mine dungeon.

If we think that it's going to be clear who the winner is before voting starts then I guess there are the following options going forward...

1. Declare 'The Mines' January's winner. Pros: No other great mods get looked over because people just vote for the Mines as they think it'll win. Cons: No vote in January.

2. Declare 'The Mines' an extra Winner. The "Christmas and New Year Winner" and then run January without the Mines. Pros: The Mines still get recognised, but we still get the fun of voting. Cons: Doesn't seem fair to @Phitt!

3. Run the vote anyway but have 2 winners in January?

4. Just run it like normal.

I'm happy with whatever everyone thinks, but I don't really have a gut feeling for what would be best!

I think there should be a rule that dungeons that didn't win can be re-nominated again. This way we'll have a proper voting, Phitt will be recognized and other awesome dungeons will get their prizes in February and later months. All pros, no cons.

@thomson: That's always been the case - only winners are exempt from future competitions . Just so that if there are 2 awesome mods released in a month then no problems are caused.

I think would be happiest just going ahead and voting as normal, but always happy to be flexible to whatever the masses want!

Didn't played the mine yet, so I can't tell. But my vote now goes to the Masterkey, with no doubt.

I think I'll check out Master Key this weekend. I haven't gotten around to it yet. Which is lame, but working on my own module sucks out so much time.

How about for go the nomination prize this month, give it to Phitt, then proceed with poll as usual with the other prize going to voting winner.

Anyone have a problem with this idea, think its fair to Phitt and whoever would come in second.
