Re: Dungeon of the Month (Dec 12) - VOTE NOW!
Ahh, finally the pre-XMas period of never-ending work comes to an end, so tomorrow I'll get a chance to play through the 2 mods on the list I've not played yet before voting.
Some great stuff here - it's great to have more dungeons to enjoy!

Re: Dungeon of the Month (Dec 12) - VOTE NOW!
Many thanks for voting everyone. I'm pleased to announce that the first Dungeon of the Month is...
Wine Merchants Basement by Mahric Dreamhunter.
Well done Mahric, and well done to all 4 creators for the wonderful dungeons nominated for this month's competition. A winner will be chosen from all those who voted (assuming I can ask Komag nicely for this information and that information is available through phpBB!), otherwise - it will be given to someone who voted and posted in this thread - again, chosen at random.
Thanks again to everyone involved. I'm looking forward to next month's already - there will be many more players of Grimrock thanks to the Humble Bundle and XMas sales and I'll have more time to publicise it more next month. I didn't count on XMas when setting this up at the start of the month! Heh
Dungeon of the Month Competition Page has been added to GrimWiki and a link to it has been added to the front page of the Wiki as an inspiration for other Dungeon creators!

The voters have a chance for reward? o:

Thanks to everyone who voted (on my mod or anyone elses), it is the player support that motivates modders to keep modding.
And with the beautifull tilesets, items and soon monsters produced by the community, the mods are only going to be better and better!

Did you visit the Wine Merchant's Basement? And heard about the Awakening of Taarnab?

I've tried and I don't seem to have any access to who voted, so it will have to go by thread postsJohnWordsworth wrote:A winner will be chosen from all those who voted (assuming I can ask Komag nicely for this information and that information is available through phpBB!), otherwise - it will be given to someone who voted and posted in this thread - again, chosen at random.
Finished Dungeons - complete mods to play
Re: Dungeon of the Month (Dec 12) - VOTE NOW!
I had paused Grimrock waiting OSX version and got it only very recently so I didn't saw this vote and I have to finish the game (final fight on duty). But coming back to the game was stunning, I had forgot how fun it ls. I made the longest gameplay session since a very long time, possibly the longest ever!
As I have almost finished the game and I already started new plays in parallel including a Toorum play, I'm looking to play mods.
I wonder if some sites try to collect and review the mods, for example, the best finished mods, the best already unfinished mods already worth a pure playing (not about testing to help moders), puzzles or fights help/guide for the best mods, mods difficulty level, collect results of dungeon of the month votes, and so on.
I have check a bit Steam workshop but it's not enough informative, it is missing a more coordinate point of view. So I wonder what are the noteworthy url for mods covering. Sort of Grimrockscope sites covering mods.

Re: Dungeon of the Month (Dec 12) - VOTE NOW!
Just wanted to say another thanks to everyone for voting. Not only is it great for mod developers to see people playing and critiquing their work, but it's hopefully also going to make it easier for gamers to interact with the LoG modding community.
Using the highly-randomised measures of my D&D dice and an Excel spreadsheet (always feels right to do a prize draw using a physical thing instead of just generating a random number in Excel)... I'm happy to say that Numberouane has won the first random prize draw for voting in the competition! I'll PM you about sending the prize your way in a few minutes.
@Soorg: As Komag says, there is a list of completed dungeons. This is a good way to find out which mods on Steam are actually finished. Equally, keep your eyes open on the DOTM page as it will grow monthly with the mods that are voted for through this competition!
