i would love to see an option for "recast last spell". players would click "Options". under "Game", players can check "recast last spell". (this option is sorta like how some cell phones work with redial by pressing the dial button.)
here's how the sequence would work:
1. right click to open the caster box
2. click the rune for the spell (e.g. upper right and lower right boxes for the frostbolt spell)
3. click on the cast button and spell is cast
4. right click to open the caster box (as before, no runes are selected. in other words, all runes are blank.)
5. click on the cast button and the same spell is recast
step 5 is the difference. before, if all runes are blank and you press the cast button, nothing happens (no spell). with this option, the last spell is recast. it requires a bit of memory because you have to remember the last spell that you cast. if you don't want to cast the same spell, you just select the runes as before. if you like to always click on the runes for every spell, you don't have to pick this option.
Suggestion: Option for "Recast Last Spell"
Re: Suggestion: Option for "Recast Last Spell"
ditto,
and maybe an indicator that there isn't enough mana to cast the spell (yet). Staying shaded is ok.

I'm more in favor for knowing whether or not you've got the mana to cast the spell, myself.

More than the amount of mana available, the time it takes to press the correct runes, while under duress, simulates a mage trying to get the words/motions of the spell correct in a heated moment. I enjoy the challenge of trying to remember the runes for a spell, while evading 2 baddies, and trying (missing) to click the correct runes while screaming.

I suppose the problem is that it's the player's skill, not the mage's, that matters there. On the other hand, it's the fighter's strength, not the player's, that swings the axe.msyblade wrote:More than the amount of mana available, the time it takes to press the correct runes, while under duress, simulates a mage trying to get the words/motions of the spell correct in a heated moment. I can't agree more. Only few can cast magic spells but pretty much anybody can swing an axe.Sol_HSA wrote:I suppose the problem is that it's the player's skill, not the mage's, that matters there. On the other hand, it's the fighter's strength, not the player's, that swings the axe.

Lol, The player's ability must be one questionable sir! i think he would rather learn how to be patient and adopt the environment of the game...just be a responsible player, same on me...Sol_HSA wrote:I suppose the problem is that it's the player's skill, not the mage's, that matters there.
