I worry about pinnguaq's turn. I haven't seen him in the forums in a very long time.

He hasn't posted in a month and a half but his profile says he visited the forums as recently as last week. Maybe at his turn he can let SpiderFighter know if he's too busy after all or not, we'll see. :)

I'm so sorry guys. I was able to visit, but not post. I'm kind of at a bit of a crossroads. Last weekend, through circumstances I can't go into in a public forum, my girlfriend and I suddenly (and unexpectedly) found ourselves in the custody of a beautiful, 8 month old boy. We're already grandparents, so this was a bit of a shock and to say our lives have been upended is a bit of an understatement. To make matters worse, we had just adopted a shelter dog on friday, and he decided to eat the computer keyboard during the night (I don't mean he just chewed through the cord, I mean he ate the keyboard... although he left the number pad alone. Go figure.). Since the closest place I could buy a new keyboard is over a two hour round trip, I had her order a new one online at work and had to wait for today for it to arrive. Let me tell you, it was hard to not visit (since I knew there would be no way anyone knew I couldn't post, it would look like I was ignoring everyone).

I'll shoot pinnguaq an email and let you guys know as soon as I hear anything.

Hey SpiderFighter. Corr - sounds like a hell of a week. Hope everyone involved is well and, whatever the issues of the week, they are something that can be resolved in a good way for everyone involved.

Sounds like your Dog is either from the Apple computer camp, who also have a dislike for NumPads or is a mathematician and wanted to save the numbers from all those mean, horrible words that can be made from the left hand side of the keyboard! Good to have you back.

That is amazing! Thanks for showing that to me; I've never seen it. So much of it is true! Actually, I exaggerated a bit. He somehow managed to leave the G and the Y keys in place...but I wasn't sure how you would have taken my post:

This dog is a beast. They think he's Ridge and Lab mix, but I see some Pit in him as well. So freaking smart, and so full of life, yet he was abused, kicked from a porch at least once (that was witnessed), and was tied out to a tree during hurricane Sandy with a rope so small he couldn't reach shelter. His rescuers said they tried to leave blankets for him and his brother, and the owner kept taking them away. Finally they just took him. He was pretty malnurished, and had sores under one eye and all his paws, but they're all pretty well healed now, and he's gained some weight. The fact that he's so loving is a miracle (also that he's still alive).

The other situation I really can't discuss, but we're hoping things will work out. If not, well, then we're prepared to do what we have to do. Thanks so much to both of you for the well wishes, we could use them. It really has been a crazy week. And say goodbye to free time!

Great to see you back. Sounds like you've had quite the ordeal. I really hope and pray that the situation with the baby resolves itself, but I know you'll do your best whatever happens. Although we're only an online community, but if there's any way we can help, let us know.

Blessings.

So glad everything's alright, Spider. Sounds like you've got quick the new development going on. And as Grimwold said, if we can help, make it known.
