I voted for the big friendly warden.

Though it's not big nor a huge dungeon crawler, it's a great short story that shows what creative minds can do.
SpoilerShow
Beside that is has strange things that aren't done easily with the tools that modders have, even though for the player they are simple (like knocking on the door or using a want to move a statue).
And the 'angry guardian' bashing at the walls was real original and made me see what is possible with creative scripting!
Definately worth your vote!
Did you visit the Wine Merchant's Basement? And heard about the Awakening of Taarnab?

I have completed both pyramid & wmb. Now racing through the halls to finish the mod by this week. 2/3 completed already.

Pyramid of xafi is my choice. The quality of the puzzles, the dungeon levels, the secrets, and the fights are perfectly balanced.

After I agree it goes to personal feelings. I really enjoyed the way the pyramid was build with all those levels entangled and how the storyline was consistent and the last room was a pure jewel with the final fight. The author having been able to do this mod using basic & standards editor features is really amazing when you see the results. In some parts, it is better than original game itself.

Now you all understood that : Pyramid is a pure jewel :) :) :) :)

One more word, this first vote is really "a pain" as it is just putting in the same contest all the mods from beginning of modding till november making the choice truely difficult.

About the halls, it is truely good but I did not finish it yet. I would have thought (hoped?) it will go to next vote.

:)

Thanks all for proposing those kind of discussions

I voted for Wine Merchant's basement. It just does so many things well. Lots of original puzzles, just the right amount of combat, good story and dialog, lots of cool scripted events, and great use of lighting.

Ditto Billick. I went WMB. Story, Dialogue, Atmosphere, creative scripting. . .Was just too impressed. All four of these dungeons are fantastic. I also like that they are very different from each other, makes deciding much more interesting.

@msyblade It was hard to decide because they were so different, was my thinking too.

My first vote was for Pyramid. But the next contest will be even harder to choose, that I can bet.

EDIT: by the way, playing now "The Master Key". Giving me a sensation to be playing "Legend of Grimrock 2", can't explain why.
Another very good module :)

My vote went to the Pyramid of Xafi.

It's a very well made dungeon regarding
- puzzles (2D and 3D)
- balancing in all terms of combat challenge, equipment delivery, food and monster placement/respawns
- lightning creepyness ;)
and most notable:
- it's all done without - i can't stress this enough! - WITHOUT(!) any custom assets!
(there are some custom sounds, but that doesn't really count as assets)

Absolutly brilliant!
If the announced sequel keeps or even expands that quality we can expect the equivalent of CSB for LoG

Surprising for me a close 2nd was WMB for it's strong adventure-like approach, similar to BFW but much larger. Nice story-telling plus also some nice ideas and scenary in it. On FH i stated my impression in it's thread; it's just not my cup of tea.

The MASTER KEY... is obvious by its absence. This is a GREAT creation.

A must have.

Master key is a december mod. As such, it will go with the january batch.

No issue here.
