System Requirements Question
Re: System Requirements Question
Okay, had my wife test for me... Tech demo ran successfully on the 256MB NVIDIA Ion (on an Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U2002). Only 15fps on whatever default settings, but possibly could be tweaked to run a bit better (I didn't have her mess around with it).
Re: System Requirements Question
Hey Everyone, I have a 256mb Radeon HD4670 and I ran the demo on max settings with 1080p at 33 fps. When I put the settings the lowest I got 65 fps. This should be more than enough to run the game!
Re: System Requirements Question
Just for curiosity, I tried hw test on 128 MB Radeon X1300. Well, it runs, but only 16 fps on lowest settings.
Re: System Requirements Question
Finally had a chance to run LoG on a NV 8600 with 256 megs. Played through the first level without problems. So we might consider lowering the minimum spec to 256 megs at some point but we would need to do a full playthrough first.
Re: System Requirements Question
I have 256MB card and preordered - so I will be able to test it also.
Now, what about single core CPUs?

Re: System Requirements Question
Haha. That better be a pretty damn powerful CPU.

Re: System Requirements Question
Petri, thnaks a lot for even checking my initial request. I also saw on the game-debate review that minimum system requirements are a 256MB cards (http://www.game-debate.com/games/index. ... quirements). I supposed they have made some testing also before writing this. Of course I have already bought the game (pre-ordered to be more specific). So congratulations again, you have made very good job and please keep up with it and consider also a Grimrock 2 game . After all, every classic has at least 2 sequels (a trlogy in total). Please, consider also the functionality of transfering existing parties to the sequel, if you ever make one. That's one of the best things I remember from my EOB days, starting with a inexperienced party in EOB1 and ending gloriously with some killing machines in EOB3!!!petri wrote:Finally had a chance to run LoG on a NV 8600 with 256 megs. Re: System Requirements Question
Hi, Everyone!
With all the testing going on here, for the sake of argument, I installed LoG on my laptop with Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset, which allocates graphics memory dynamically, and up to 224 MB
And, the game -did- run! With everything set to "low"est settings of course.
However, the lag made it impossible to take certain actions, like passing thru a disabled portal in time -- trying not to make spoilers
-- it lagged incredibly much, by the time I get to the portal, it's reactivated again.
That being done, thanks so much for this awesome game!

Re: System Requirements Question
As a further update to this topic, I've run the game with 1GB of RAM allocated, and 256MB graphics card, and zero lag (not high settings, but still, gorgeous game even at lower settings).
So as long as you don't have a horse shit 8 year old integrated graphics card, this game will most likely run for you ^^.
