OSX: Where is the downloadable steam version?

Post by gene_kultpower »

I purchases LOG from Steam in July this year.
I am on Mac OSX (yes, I bought the game without guarantee that the game will ever be playable for me just to support the great developers).

I would like to try to use the Wrapper from the Porting Team, but for this I must have a downloaded version (some real files) of LOG. My Steam application says "not available for your platform" (or something similar, I have it here in German) when I try to istall the game.

How can I download LOG from Steam to try the Wrapper for OSX?

Thanks in advance!

In case you get LOG running with this workaround (shame on you devs for no OSX or iOS support) let me know. Thanks in advance.

From the article: "Commits an act which, in the opinion of the referee, shows a lack of respect for the game (e.g., aggressive attitude, inflammatory behavior, or taunting)"

Sure.

Download Windows Steam installation: http://cdn.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi
Double click the LoG wrapper, and launch the steam install.
Install steam, let it update and install LoG via steam.

I have not tested steam version, but it should be working.

PS: This way will let you install and possibly play any windows version of games you have on steam, but remember, installing anything else from LoG may screw up the wrapper, so if you want to test another windows game via the wrapper, back it up, or search porting team for the exact wrapper.
