I'm trying to make a lever that when the user presses it it either does not respond, or immediately switches back to its default setting. How do I make a lever stuck?

I'm thinking http://www.grimrock.net/modding/scripting-reference/
in the lever section, getLeverState:
and the like. I played a mod once where the lever would not go down. I'm sure there's a way to make it not go up.
